One for all, and all for one

Ghandi was once asked what he thought of western civilization and his reply was “It would be a good idea!”

I think it’s makes an astute point though and even more so true today. When did we become a bunch of islands that sometimes collide or collect together but otherwise hide behind our phones social media contacts or common interest group.

The western worlds become a collection of loners or opinionated keyboard gansters or small collectives of like minded people who quite frankly are behaving more and more cultish, we’re the only right ones… as time goes on.

The devil finds work for idle hands. It’s perhaps a biblical saying but please don’t judge me for using it. I consider myself a spiritualist and believe I have the right to refer to a god or the idea of the devil if I may as part of my writing.

Does it offend you at all? Then fucking grow up!

The amount of times I have had to defend myself physically in a pub due to using such a phrase and it’s deteriorated into either a fight or an argument, anyway it’s ridiculous.

And the point stands if me using a biblical term offends you then the devil has found work for your idle mind and you have become far too opinionated.

I had a peer to peer meeting today with some other professionals and one of them is a psychologist.

Before the meeting started the weather was discussed over tea and coffee. A recent snow flurry had caused some minor train delays and that seemed to be the talk of the town.

The psychologist said “I’m glad when mother nature comes by and just show’s us how fragile we can all be as she has far more power than we give her credit for.”

I liked my retort. I said:

“I like the community spirit that comes into play during adverse conditions from mother nature. It shows humanity is as much of a force to be reckoned with to.”

If he had a come back, he kept it to himself.
