Being Awake

September 12, 2026

We need a term beyond woke, it carries too much luggage from the left.

Being woke has got all caught up in US right vs left politics and it points towards bullshit.

Being awake means calling into question anything and everything any of our leaders do no matter who it is or which side of the aisle they happen to be on. It means keeping your critical thinking up to 100% and not falling loyal to any leader ‘no matter the weather’.

Being awake means being an alert centrist. An independant. Never devoted to any party.

Of note, these voters already exist and tend to be the deciding factors in elections and we need more of them.

Being centrist myself, I am conservative in that I think people should be rewarded for there industry and admit capatilism does seem to have shown the greatest success as a model of society. But I can’t help note that its greatest achievement, the moon landing, was achieved during one of the worst human rights upheavals during the 1960s in the US. So I am also a democrat. I don’t think there’s such a thing as an ‘undesireable’, I think that’s nazi talk. I’m also a liberal, I think people should be allowed to live without interference, so long as they break no laws and do no harm.

So while you can’t quite plug me down as a leftist or rightist, or even a con, dem or lib… you can peg me down as being awake. I will question every leaders decision, every time, and form no loyalty to any party of idealolgy. My continues support depends entirely on my agreement with you, that your doing your best hour by hour to manage honorably, the minute you stop doing that I will withdraw my support.

Those who are awake, keep our leaders on notice 24/7.

Our political activism is exposing corruption. Calling our stupid decisions. Demanding impeachments. And voting, you can never count on our vote, you have to earn that right.
