Emotional maturity is a thing.
So at what point do we grow up?
The footprints in the sand poem makes a lovely point, God is carrying us when we need it most, it’s comforting. It gives you some faith in faith. While it offers hope… it doesn’t pay the bills.
Emotional maturity pays the bills. Someone has to say ‘I got this’ and they cast a spell that others tend to flock to. I guess we could call them the top 10%, those who have their shit together.
When you don’t have to look back on your life and say ‘those are the time faith got me through it’, and can look in the mirror and honestly say to yourself ‘I got me through this and I will succeed’ is the moment you reach emotional maturity.
If you put emotional security on a scale of 1-10, half the population dies in the bottom half of that scale, remember that.
Those who say, faith will get me by are oft overdone by those who say I am going to do something about this.
