Even Abraham, Jesus and Mohammed only ever claimed to be speaking for God, they never claimed they were God themselves.

He’s asking us all to make him into a God whose name is remembered in eternity and the sooner we can turn it all into dark humour and a bad mistake of the 20th century and forget about him then the better.
