My Deepest Fear

September 6, 2024

I was brought up in Scientology, born in 1977, at the time it was Scientolgies heydays.

In the 1980s Scientology surged to have about 100,000 members.

They managed to field 15,000 peaceful protesters in Portland, Oregon for the duration of a 6 months long court case and they won the court case.

Losing it would have cost them $1 BILLION! So wining it was heady stuff.

That was mid 80s when the founder also passed when most people expected the phenomenon of Scientology to fold.

But a new leader emerged and the beat went on and in 1993 Scientology got tax-exempt status in the US, which Scientology took to the government saying they were a bona fide religion.

In ’93 I was 15 and it was all going to my head like a dope stronger than heroin is. I was an immortal being, convinced I was not just saving the world but the whole universe (comprised of numerous races on multiple planets), for all eternity.

So what could we possibly all fear?

The wogs.

Hubbard stole the term from the Brits, it is an informal term meaning those not exposed to the more sophisticated technologies of the time. In the 16th century, the Brits would refer to local Indians as Worthy Oriental Gentlemen (WOG)s, which at the time was a polite and racist way of saying ‘he is not one of us because he is not indoctrinated in our way of life, with the higher technologies’. This was a great idea for the Brits cause it put them above even Indian royalty in society’s terms.

So in the world of Scientology, a wog is someone who is not indoctrinated in Hubbards ‘technology’. And Scientologists absolutely consider themselves as a class of people who are above the wogs in quality as a person and their knowledge about life. So it is quite an arrogant position, and again a heady proposition.

ie No matter what situation you encounter in life your of the view that you know more about everything than everyone else in the room…! It is a very poignant pill to swallow.

And so it is for a Scientologist, they consider themselves above the wogs but it is also their greatest fear as the wogs wont subscribe to Scientology justice procedures… so your in the ‘wilderness’ when you deal with your fellow man in the ‘wog world’.

That is an actual term in Scientology, the ‘wog world’.

And it is their only fear.

Look at their legal defense budget.
