I have to take my hat off to Her Royal Highness Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
I hate war but respect the bravery of warriors who excel in their duty.
In the same light I see that her reign as the Queen was nothing short of a tremendous call to not only duty but also to honour the nation she so faithfully served for her life entire.
She ascended to the throne in 1952 and today ascended to legend.
She was her own anarchist against calamity. When the world came apart at the seams, anyone could look at her for an example of dignity and stoic.
She inspired a nation crippled by war to find in its national soul what was good about its character and how to exemplify that. She served her time in the war in uniform with her sleeves rolled up doing her part.
She led numerous Prime Ministers through their terms in office always instilling a sense of calm and dignity to our nation’s response to the world’s affairs with discretion and savvy.
She let the public know she was always there but forever quaint about it. A foundation of faith in what it meant to be a nation.
She led us all in her own way, as only she could have.
To our Princess who visited Kenya and returned our Queen, to leave us as the most cherished legend to depart from Scotland, all inspired, with full respect.
I’m not a monarchist, but if you had to ask me what Queen Elizabeth represented, I would say dignity and honour.
