The Nights Light

April 5, 2022

The war in Ukraine is an ugly and dark time for Europe. With the evils of civilian executions and mass graves being found in the wake of a defeated red army.

It needs to be asked, is there any light in the darkest time Europe has seen since WWII?

And there actually is. We are once again reminded how important it is to keep tyranny at bay.

Two by-products to emerge from this will be a race for energy security that does not rely on fossil fuels which will help with establishing sustainable energy quicker than would have occurred otherwise. The other is a potential decline in the US dollar as the international currency of reserve.

But most prominent we see the value of people of freewill over the oppressed.

Russia is seeing an exodus of its most talented workers and artists and especially journalists who report independently of the state rhetoric.
