Scotland Socialist Capitalism

November 22, 2019

Did you know you can set up a community improvement company in Scotland that gets tax breaks.

It has to cap the % of it’s profits that can go to it’s wages/exec, workers bonus’ and shareholders and must otherwise prove it offers an improvement to the community at large.

But…

It is then eligible for certain tax breaks like a lower income tax % and cheaper rates on any property.

So long as it’s shows a general good for society at large and caps the income of those invested in it time wise… Socialist Capitalism.

The big wigs can and will get rosy bonus’ … to the degree the company has flourished in helping the community at large.

If I may try stab at the intent in the minds of the law makers who passed this it would be to have a company that’s members did not WANT a union to protect their rights. And owners who did not have to drive their work force to such.

The wage would have to cover the cost of living for full time employees.

Zero hour contracts would only be used on a very restricted stand in basis.

Maternity leave and pensions should be attractive.

Perhaps giving employees a saving scheme for shares in the company could help the process along also.
