Perhaps not the most politically correct sounding title but neither is the time we live in. I think a few of the fringe right, need a little reminder of some very recent events.
In a single generation humanity rose from the ravages of two world wars and stood in unity to witness the Moon landing. My Mother was 13 during the landing and my Grandfather survived WWII.
Bear in mind in the early 1960s humanity stood on the brink of WWIII with the Cuban missile crisis and then witnessed it’s finest moment of glory to date with Neil Armstrong saying ‘One small leap for man, one giant leap for mankind.’ as he stepped out onto on the Lunar surface in July 1967.
Bear in mind wikipedia says ‘Between 5,034,987—5,434,987 Muslims fought for the Allied forces in WWII’. Many generations of Muslims and people from India and Pakistan (not at all mutually exclusive) in the UK, stem from soldiers who returned to the UK after WWII.
When the current Major of London arrived in the UK from Pakistan in 1968 there was signs up in pubs saying ‘No Irish, No Blacks, No Dogs’. The Troubles in the UK are in my living memory and while in Emerald Isle living and working there for a while, my girlfriend at the time who came from there said ‘If anyone asks which side you stand for the only fecking hing you should say back is, a curse on both your houses for the Troubles, and that’s fecking it. Nothing more!’ She’s was pretty serious too!
Do you know what this is?

On the Barony Castle estate in Eddleston there is a 50m x 40m to scale map of Scotland built by Poles.
Barony Castle was given over to an Armoured Division of the Polish army that had managed to be evacuated from mainland Europe at the start of WWII. On D-Day it was noted among the fiercest fighters was the Poles. They wanted their home back and Hitler stood in their way!
However the map was the brain child of one Jan Tomasik, born in Krakow Poland, who returned to Scotland after WWII and to the nurse he married after she helped him back to health while his regiment of the Polish Army was based in Dumfries, Scotland.
Himself and other comrades who returned to Scotland have left an indelible connection between the people of Scotland and the Poles.
We need to learn from our pasts and one single common theme from our ‘masters’ is us and them. No matter what side they are on their rhetoric is about us V them. They are asking you to support the division they are causing.
Politicians I think to survive the next generation are going to have to lean more towards united cooperation than survival of the ‘fittest/best’ most of humanity is growing up fast.
The old school Brigade of conquer them with an iron fist and show them our way to live is best and enforce it with our laws… is losing ground.
Let’s remember behind us and them there is an us.
Like being devided weakens us as a whole but being united strengthens us to.
