There is such a thing as pacifying an aggressor.
Japan is working on this ‘technology’ and doing well at it. It’s also known as keeping the peace. Or common sense.
Japan has worked out offense for defence is daft and that when a nation is at war with another it hurts the populace. Aggression is not popular in Japan.
Violence is. They love it. Martial artists to a fine edge. The home of Sumo wrestling and the Ninja and Samurai.
But in modern days it has become an art/science and mixes well with the religious/cultural background of Japan and a persons ability to be the best most violent – in a sporting event with swords is celebrated.
The government declaring war or police shootings don’t happen and the populace would not wear it.
The police are not armed as a rule but all are trained in an extremely high degree of not only martial arts but also manners. They are the most polite police in the world perhaps bar none. And very effective.
If a knife wielding maniac rocks up into a police station threatening cops he gets talked down not shot.
If a man is being aggressive in the street and threatening others he gets surrounded by police who then approach him with mats, cover him in them and then once rolled up in them and he would be taken to a cell somewhere to calm down, then they talk about it.
Said Mr. Aggressive may then be in for a trip to a mental health hospital or jail depending on the situation but he’s not shot as a solution by the police and thus needing a coffin.
Death and wiping out ‘undesirables’ was an idea Hilter embraced.
Love and peace was an idea John Lennon tried to spread.
Hitler topped himself. John Lennon was assassinated.
Who was more right?
Who do you consider an ‘undesirable?’
That’s your problem not theirs.
