What is a Cult

December 5, 2018

Can you easily leave or are their serious consequences. A group that behaves like it needs you to stay to protect itself is a cult.

This discourse will look into why people join, stay and the leaving and the mechanisms that come into play in any ‘typical’ human cult. By the definition I have come up with there are many cults in the world and they’re not all bad.

1.Introduction of the Unicorn

Any cult must have some form of enticement. This must actually be wholesome and good for the person and their immediate life. Otherwise a cult would not be able to exist.

So why aren’t they all good then, if they offer some wholesome good? It’s the price tag on the other side of the equals sign that clinches it. It might be a bit good for you on the short term like a pint of beer, but would you buy a beer for a weeks wage?

Story: Astroplanning

Corrolary: I felt indebted and bonded to Scn for the experience.

2. A Brief History of NRM

Story: Making Offier

Corollary: Ambition to be a higher ranked Officer

3. Clergy vs Lay Members

‘Defense’ of Opus Die and some equivalents ie terrorists vs freedom fighters

Story: Being a Missioniare

Corollary: The loss of significance and how daunting and starting again can be because of this. Going back to the non-fixing the Universe run of the mill lifestyle. Lose of the group.

4. Religious Cults

The backsliders

Story: Business after the SO with other Scientologists

Corollary: The net result was it all included my continued adherence to be successful.

5. Other Cults

Special forces and cooperate cults

Story: My belonging to OTO

Corollary: Speaks for itself.

6. Leaving

How hard is it? Do you only lose a chance at a version of ‘immortality’.

Does a persons tendancy of ‘I have got this far so might as well see it out…’ have much to do with those who stay?

Story: My Comm Ev

Corollary: We’d rather have you dead than incapable.

7. Locus of Control

How much say do you have on your family life and day to day activities

Story: Boxing Day India

Corollary: RPF

8. Dependency/Brainwashing/Peer Pressure

The control mechanisms

Story: Making it go right at the IAS and in business.

Corollary: Dependancy on others behaving by you and the loss of it when they do not.

9. Male vs Female Victims

The need for approval in us all but most especially women.

Story: The respect of a persons, person – in general.

Corollary: The abuse of a persons, person.

10. Using People as a Commodity

Here women have the ‘advantage’ in cults

Story: My Wife

Corollary: My younger sisters marriage.

11. Decompression Techniques

Finding square zero.

Story: The nights out.

Corollary: Just being unprepared for society.

12. Conclusion

I’d have been considerably better off never letting my Mother or Father meet my Daughter. These causes that are self perpetrating and act accordingly do not care one dot about ANY amount of ‘collateral’ damage.

Story: Read about Dortju.

Corollary: I’d rather have been the next Elon Musk except as the son of a ScFy writers cult I feel more compelled to write books about society and ScFy… typical for being brainwashed from birth I guess.

Most families behave like this. Very few groups do.
