With the metoo movement I would say it has a well deserved modern voice. <\/p> With the advent of the Taliban setting women’s rights back centuries recently in Afghanistan it must continue with a spot light on this globally. <\/p> One thing we mustn’t lose sight of here though is that abuse is a two way street and not about just bruises. <\/p> Male abuse without a doubt is more violent. We have balls and testosterone which literally gives us more strength and a powerful mindset towards using it (and abusing it) hence male -> female abuse is more easily identified and proved and punished. <\/p> Abuse from a woman has to by necessity be subtle and hard to pin down. In this woman have the upper hand, in subtly. Playing mind games. <\/p> But imagine all the abusers in the world. Include the psychological with the physical. All the abuse in the world. Is it 90% male dominant? Because it seems like when you mention domestic abuse the first question is are you sure your a woman and do you have pics of the bruises. Then a case against domestic abuse starts. <\/p> A dude saying – “She was bad to me?” gets you fucking laughed at, and Amber Heard has proved women know this bent in the world and use this against men. <\/p> The population of abusers is a 50\/50 split between the genders. <\/p> The world seems to be trapped in a pigeon hole view of society that abuse goes mostly one way from men to women and everything must be done to protect women from men. <\/p> Protecting men from women? Men reaching out for help from abuse… Your into a taboo subject, your a wet rag, a pussy, a sissy, not a real man. Putting yourself out there to be subject to public opinion abuse for not being able to ‘manage’ you own woman. <\/p> Whatever the fuck this ‘manage’ is suppose to be is a heated debate currently referred to as ‘who wears the trousers’. But it should be worked out on an equal playing field between couples. With no clear avenue to abuse for BOTH parties! <\/p> Obviously an equal peer cooperative based on a deep friendship grown from affection into love and commitment is the ideal for most of us to go for – so being in competition with one another seems redundant or who ‘owns’ who seems to bring evils to the table. Including ground glass and brake fluid in the soup. Women have their own avenue to violence. <\/p> We have a situation in society because male abuse -> women is more visible it deserves more attention and women abuse -> men is considered a weakness on behalf of the man to be shunned by his male peers and scoffed at by other females. <\/p> Too many mental health and law professionals advise men to deal with it at home. As soon as it’s a woman making the complaint the cops get called no questions asked. <\/p> Female -> male abuse doesn’t get the headlines as prominently so it’s not an issue society carries in its mind so much. <\/p> That just means it more hidden. Doesn’t mean it’s not there. <\/p> It just means, as we know, men are expected to man up and deal with it. <\/p> I respect Johhny Depp for calling out his ex-wife in such a humbling and high profile manner. It’s taken courage, I am sure it has been soul destroying. She didn’t have to make the complaint that was her choice, resulting in him having to seek a defense for himself. <\/p> But it’s a trend\/taboo that needs it’s own spotlight, own support groups, own funding, own mental health and law professionals. <\/p> It’ll be a long haul to level the mind games playing field with the physical abuse one but I think it’s a fight worth being fought. <\/p> Equal rights do matter. <\/p> It goes both ways. <\/p> <\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Previously referred to as female fatale.
